When custom software makes sense
If an existing app covers what you need, we’ll say so in the audit and help you set it up. We build custom software when the gaps cost your staff hours every week, or when no app on the market handles the way you work.
You’ll recognise it if:
- Your team keeps a spreadsheet next to the app you pay for, because the app doesn’t track what you need.
- The same information gets typed into two or three places, and the copies drift apart.
- You’ve outgrown the notebook or the shared calendar, but the big systems are built for companies ten times your size.
What we build
- Booking and schedulingAppointments, classes, rooms or equipment, with limits on places and booking windows.
- Memberships and check-inPlans, credits and payments on record, with members checking in from their phones.
- Orders and stockFrom the first enquiry to delivery and invoice.
- Records and reportsInspections, certificates, work logs and the reports your accountant or inspector asks for.
- Admin panels and client portalsOne place for your team, plus a login for your customers where it helps.
Example: B-Strong
B-Strong’s front desk runs on a desktop app for Windows and Mac. Check-in, member records and payments keep working when the internet drops, and the Windows app updates itself. Members carry their membership card in a phone app, check in with a code that changes every 30 seconds, and book sessions with a set number of places and a weekly booking window.
For a ticket-kiosk client in Belgium, the same approach puts every sale and ticket in one admin dashboard, with search and a status filter.
How we build it
- In phasesThe first phase covers the job that costs you the most time, and your team uses it while we build the next.
- Offline where it mattersIf your internet drops, the front desk keeps working and syncs later.
- Connected to what you keepWe link it to the accounting, payment and calendar tools you already use, where they allow it.
- Your data comes with youWe import what’s in your spreadsheets and old systems, so nobody starts from an empty screen.
The code and the data are yours.
FAQ
Isn’t custom software expensive?
It costs more up front than a subscription. It pays off when it saves hours every week or replaces several subscriptions. The audit gives you a rough cost for each step before you commit to anything.
How long does it take?
We agree the scope and date of each phase before it starts. The first phase is usually the smallest useful piece, so you see it working early.
Can it work on phones?
Yes. We build for desktop, tablet and phone, and add an iOS and Android app when your staff or customers need one.
What happens to our existing data?
We move it over from your spreadsheets or old system as part of the first phase.
Who maintains it afterwards?
We do, through Hosting, Maintenance & Support, unless you’d rather your own team took over. The code is yours either way.
