How the audit works
- Intro call (30 minutes)We hear what you want to fix and agree on what the audit covers.
- Walkthrough (about half a day)We go through a normal working day with you and your staff, on site or by video. We follow a booking, an order or a payment from start to finish and note every place it gets typed in twice.
- Review of your toolsWe look at the software, spreadsheets, devices and accounts you already pay for, and check which of them can stay.
- Roadmap meeting (1 hour)We present what we found and the plan, and answer your questions. You keep the written roadmap.
What you get
- A map of how work moves through your business today, with the slow and error-prone steps marked.
- A roadmap in priority order: what to change first, second and third, and why.
- For each step, whether existing software can handle it or something needs building, with a rough cost range and a time estimate.
- Quick wins you can act on straight away, some of them free.
The roadmap is yours. Carry it out with us, with another team or on your own.
What it costs
After the intro call we give you a fixed quote for the audit, based on how many locations and processes it covers. If you start building any step from the roadmap with us within three months, you don’t pay for the audit. If we come to you for the walkthrough, travel costs are added to the quote.
After the audit
If you want us to build it, we turn the first step of the roadmap into a phase with a fixed price. Once it’s live, we host, maintain and support it, and we start the next step when you’re ready. You’re under no obligation to continue.
FAQ
How long does it take?
About one week from the intro call to the roadmap meeting. It can take a little longer if the walkthrough has to wait for one of your quieter days.
Do you need to visit us?
We can come to you wherever your business is, and travel costs are added to the quote. The walkthrough also works well by video, as long as someone can show us the screens and paperwork as we go.
What do we need to prepare?
Nothing formal. Have the person who knows each process available during the walkthrough, and give us access to the tools you use.
Will you just recommend custom software?
Only where it pays off. If an existing app does the job, the roadmap says so and names it.
Is our data safe during the audit?
We only look at what you show us. We’ll sign an NDA if you need one, and we don’t keep copies of your data after the audit.
Can we do the audit and then build with someone else?
Yes. We write the roadmap so any competent team can work from it.
